You may want to install the pre-requisites before getting your hands on JRoR. Our LUG team members have created a very basic screencast for it. You can easily install jruby and rails by following the steps mentioned.

About the Speaker:

Dhaval is a Software Engineer working at LinkedIn. He specializes in Java and Ruby on Rails web development. He is an alumni of SJSU who graduated with the degree of Masters in Software Engineering.
